Getting ready for Christmas events or Holiday season in general is definitely something that can cause a lot of stress. Isn’t it? Of course it’s a super happy season with lots of festive nights out or gatherings at home. And it should be just that; happy and enjoyable.
But how we can look amazing and also feel good without a hint of frustration? Today, I’ve gathered my best tips for getting ready for Christmas. Whether you’re staying at home with friends and family, or enjoying Holiday parties that need you to be a little extra this is for you.
Over the years I’ve realized that being fancy can be done in an easy and quick way. Not by sitting in front of your wardrobe wondering “Do I have something to wear?”
Let’s see how to do it like a pro that you are!
Tip 1: Prepare In Advance
Getting ready for Christmas events needs preparation in advance. The better you get organized now, the more you’ll enjoy your Holidays when they’re here.
STEP 1: And what I mean by preparing in advance? Map out your events. Where you’ll go? Do you need to be extra fancy or more simple?
STEP 2: The next step is to check out your current collection. Go to your wardrobe and see what pieces you own. Do you see something missing? Is it a high quality black blazer to put over your party dresses? Is it a sparkly mini bag? Is it a pair of sexy black pumps? Whatever it is write it down and make a small list.
STEP 3: The next thing is to start searching for these pieces. If you start early enough like in October or November, you’ll probably get lucky. These are the months with the greatest sales. Plus the Black Friday sale where you can get the pieces you need at a lower price.
What’s better than this? You’ll be fully prepared and all of your choices will be hanging in your closet ready to be styled, worn and adored!

Tip 2: Don’t Push Yourself To Try New Things While Getting Ready For Christmas Events
Now, I don’t know about you but I certainly notice an urge to try new things whenever I have somewhere fancy to go. Especially during Christmas where nearly everyday is a “something” day.
And I don’t believe that trying new things with your style or beauty routines isn’t a good thing. Of course it’s nice and getting out of your comfort zone is even greater. But wanting to try all the new styles just a few hours before your event can drive you a bit crazy. Are you with me?
With the clock ticking and your clothes covering the bed, the floor and the armchair it is impossible to have a clear mind and see if the vibe you’re trying to create is really suitable for you.
So next time you want to try that edgy eyeliner trick you saw on Instagram, or the layering of sparkly mesh dresses technique just stop. Experimenting with all these new amazing things needs time.
My advice is to challenge yourself on a lazy afternoon, not 1 hour before you need to leave the house for a party.

Tip 3: Trust Yourself On The Things That You Really Enjoy
Last but not least, when you’re getting ready for Christmas events or other Holiday festivities you need to trust yourself on the things you really enjoy. Festive days are the best for connecting, seeing loved ones, have a great time and also look fabulous, why not?
However, if you let small details get into you, you will probably lose your good mood and concentrate on the wrong stuff. What details? Let’s get real for a minute.
When I go at a home gathering where there is a LOT of eating involved, I know that my favorite pair of tight trousers won’t make the cut. I’ll have my mind on how bloated I am (yes, sexy I know) and how I can unbutton. So an airy dress will be much wiser. Another great example is going at a super exciting Christmas party with uncomfortable shoes that you’re wearing for the first time. Well, no.
I want to remember the people I spoke to, the vibe of the night, the fun dancing and the awesome outfit, not how bad my shoes were for the situation.
So when you’re preparing for the Holiday season ahead, a little food for thought is to evaluate the small things that make you feel happy. Then incorporate them into your outfits and makeup up looks. That’s it!

These tips are simple, effective and guarantee peace of mind concerning the “how you’ll look” aspect of the Holiday season. The door is now open for happiness, excitement and love.
