Another season, another challenge to not empty my bank account. But, unfortunately designers show no mercy while bringing out all those amazing pieces that make your heart stop. Yes, yes I know. I have so many clothes, shoes and accessories said no woman ever. Why should this woman be me? Every darn season, the new trends and different looks has me breathing a little bit faster with excitement levels -at their highest. Someone has to stop me!
As I was checking out Net-A-Porter’s ‘new in’ section, I couldn’t resist putting a ton of pieces on my already full wishlist. Amazing colored jackets, velvety dreams, high heels that made me forget the pain they’re going to give me, and so beautiful edgy sneakers, that made me forget the existence of high heels. Alright, here we go again.
After a lot -did I say a lot?- of searching and many heart-eyed emojis later, here are my favorite picks for the upcoming fall/winter, that really stood out to me.
Ann Demeulemeester Pants
I love badass masculine clothing. Whether is an oversized shirt or tailored pants, I’m in. So, you can imagine how I felt when I saw this black and metallic pants from Ann Demeulemeester. A designer who achieves perfectly the mixing of rock chic, along with hints of sexy and a little bit of aggressive feminine touches. It is the pants of my dreams and I picture myself wearing it dressed down with a t-shirt and white trainers for daytime, and black high heeled pumps at night. I love it.
Maria Black Earring
Small, classy, edgy, sexy little thing. I can’t say enough when it comes to Maria Black jewelery. I love almost everything she brings out. But this one particularly, is -really- a stand out piece that manages to wow everyone, but still perfect for every day wear. Get on my ear now!
Marni Dress
It’s the perfect dress! Basically your little black dress, but with a twist. The ruffles make it super girly, so for my taste it definitely needs something to toughen up. A nice leather jacket would balance the look perfectly. Trainers for daytime, pumps or ankle boots for the night. A super interesting detail that spices things up even more, is that the back of the dress has the same salmon-y / pinky / beige color as the ruffles on the bottom. Perfect little dress to have in your collection.
Sam Edelman Pumps
I’ve always loved shoes like this one, and now it’s the perfect season to rock them as every brand has its version and the trend is still strong. These Sam Edelman pumps seem really comfortable, and you can wear them everywhere. I find them to be a good option for days that you just can’t be bothered to wear high heels, but you still want to look well dressed. You can wear them with jeans or dresses.
Christopher Kane Trainers
Well, I can’t say this is your average pair of trainers, and it’s a shoe that a few girls could pull out. But, I love them. They’ll definitely make a statement, and I imagine wearing them with skinny black jeans, black t-shirt and -surprise- black jacket. I don’t know if they’ll last the test of time though, because they are so different and out of this world that I can’t think of wearing them for years.
