Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Yes. I am that crazy person, who falls asleep with a smile just by thinking the next morning’s breakfast. It’s like a mini party; for me, my coffee and whatever I’m having for breakfast each day. I love a good breakfast, that will keep me full until lunch, and I want it to be complete. Protein, some healthy carbs for the energy, and eggs to keep me going; couldn’t have been happier.
After a lot of efforts that were total fails, I found my ideal mix of ingredients to create the perfect healthy pancakes; nutrition and flavor wise. Not only are the easiest pancakes to make, but they also contain very good ingredients to nourish your body for the whole day ahead. The best part is that they are so fulfilling and delicious, that you can enjoy them not only as your breakfast, but for a mid-day snack, or a sweet treat as well, if combined with a little bit of nutella or something like that. Be wild!
What you’ll need for this healthy pancake recipe:
-2 eggs (I want to eat a lot of protein so I put 2, it’s up to your personal preference)
-1 scoop of protein powder (I love them with chocolate flavored protein)
-1 banana
-2-3 tablespoons milk (or almond milk, whatever you fancy)
-cinnamon (I put a tone, because I love the sassy flavor)
How to do it:
It couldn’t be easier! You put all your ingredients into a mixer and -surprise- mix it all up. You’re left with a runny textured mixture, that you can either put it all in a heated pan and have it as one big pancake, or separate it in smaller pancakes if you prefer.
You can have them alone, with raspberries and strawberries, with yogurt or honey. If you are naughty enough, you can try them also with chocolate sirup or even ice-cream on a Sunday morning.
Let’s be real; you should know by now that calories don’t count on Sundays, right?
