So here’s my problem; straight, stubborn lashes. The struggle is real people! I love long curly lashes, and since I remember myself, I used to browse the beauty section of every magazine and get obsessed by mascaras and their unique packaging. When I was in my fifteens, I got introduced to a Helena Rubinstein mascara from my mum, that she used to use for years non stop. It was the only mascara that worked for her, in her also straight lashes -wondering where I got them. It was in a gold bullet shaped thin tube, waterproof, and made your lashes amazing. Long and extremely curly.
I used it for years until the day they discontinued it. From that year, I’m always on the hunt for a great waterproof mascara that will satisfie my urge of having curly lashes.
In the meantime, as I was reading blog posts, I came across a post of one of my favorite bloggers, Vivianna from theannaedit, when she talked about a new waterproof mascara, that holed the curl. Woop, whoop! The mascara mentioned, is the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Waterproof from Dior; I had to try it.
What an awesome idea! This mascara ticks all the boxes for me. It really is the best mascara for straight lashes; if I say so myself. Holds the curl, gives thickness, and makes your eyelashes longer. It needs two good coats if you want bold black lashes, and one coat if you prefer a more natural result. I remove it with my Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil from Bodyshop, but it also comes off easily with good old olive oil in a cotton pad.
Let’s pray to the Dior gods now, to NOT discontinue this gem. If you have the same problems, let me know your thoughts and all your waterproof finds.
