And what I mean by perfect evening makeup looks, you ask? For me the perfect evening makeup look consists of areas of the face that you decide to enhance more. It’s either the eyes or the lips.
You’ll never see me with a smokey eye and a red lip together. Depending on my mood or outfit choice, I decide whether I do something fun on my eyes or a bold lip. I’m always drawn into minimalistic looks that scream confidence and celebrate what we already have.
Today I’m going to share with you my 3 biggest tips on how to achieve perfect evening makeup looks every time and how to have a “base line” in your head when you’re trying to think about what your next makeup look is going to be.
Of course from a minimalistic point of view, what else? Let’s go!
Bold Lips
I’m all about quick and easy looks that give me all the confidence, look effortless yet feature an edgy, spicy or mysterious little detail.
An evening makeup look that no one can beat is definitely a bold lip choice. The key here is to keep the rest of the makeup completely minimal. I usually go as natural as possible.
A tinted moisturizer, concealer, powder and bronzer for my base and mascara on the eyes. As I don’t love my eyes with only mascara and I like to have something to define them without being in your face, I add a bit of bronzer on the eyelids or a neutral camel eyeshadow. Nothing else.
My bold lip choice is going to be a red lip, a burgundy one or a super deep brown/berry for a vampy look.
It’s a super quick look and a no-brainer for a night out. Do your base as simple as possible and add a bold lip. Boom!

Glitter Eyeliner
Another thing that I love doing when I’m preparing for an evening out is a glitter eyeliner look.
It’s easy, super quick, fun and you can add any lip color you like; bold or nude. I use nude of course -what a surprise?! Can you blame me? The beautiful sparkle on the eyes along with natural, youthful skin and gorgeous juicy peachy-pink lips is a can’t-go-wrong choice.
I’m achieving these kind of looks again by keeping everything in the face minimal. A light base but a lot of bronzer for added definition & warmth, a nice blusher on the cheeks and a liquid highlighter for extra juiciness.
I usually use a liquid glitter eyeshadow in the color of my choice. I then create my cat-eyeliner with an angled brush which is super quick and easy.
If you want something more, you can definitely start by doing your usual black eyeliner -I have a helpful reel for that- and add the glitter on top. This way the eyes have even more definition than using only the glitter eyeshadow.
I use both methods.

All Over The Lids Glitter
My third and final option for an evening makeup look is the all over the lid glitter.
It can be for a special occasion or a night out for drinks. And don’t think that all over the lid glitter is “too much” or “too edgy”. It all comes down to what you will be pairing it with.
I’ve seen countless glitter looks from my favorite makeup artists that have a minimalistic approach, making glitter wearable and chic.
So if I’m in the mood for something extra, I choose the color of the glittery eyeshadow and start from there. I keep the rest of my makeup fresh and not heavy at all. This way the glitter eyes look modern and cool.
I use both liquid glittery eyeshadows blending them all over the lids with a blending brush and glittery eyeshadows from my favorite palettes, which I usually apply with just my finger.
Pairing this kind of look with simple, monochrome clothing is a match made in heaven. Love it!

I do love all of these looks and I’m playing around by changing just the colors. I keep the same concept and idea and only alter the glitter color, the lipstick color etc.
