• Review: The Liquid Contour Wand Kevyn Aucoin

I have tried many products to contour with during the years. Why?  My obsession for defined cheekbones is major to say the least. I’ve had experiences usually with powders and a few times sticks or liquid formulas. None of them really worked for me. They were either too thick, too warm or too muddy. After trying the sculpting powder from Kevyn Aucoin in the shade medium, I never looked back -yes, it is that good.

As my skin is super oily, I always gravitate towards powder products. I never imagined that I would buy again a liquid product to tell you the truth; especially for contouring. I find that they take more time to blend or their colors are warm, even orang-y for my pale skin. That’s the reason I’m using the sculpting powder 3 years in a row, and I’ve also rumbled about my love for it here.

However, when I saw that a liquid version of it came out, I probably looked like a heart-eyed emoji and I knew I had to give it a go. Even its name makes you wanna try it! The Liquid Contour Wand, could probably also be named as The Magic Wand. It comes in three shades; a light, a medium and a dark. I got it in the shade medium; a not too warm, nor too cool under-toned shade, which is very natural once blended out.

The consistency is also great because it is light weight, thin and super easy to blend. I apply a line under my cheekbones using the applicator brush, blend it in firstly with a dense brush and make it fade away for a seamless look with a beauty blender.

It may seems that it takes quite a time, but it’s just a 2 minute job, I promise. The best part is that after using it, I don’t even need bronzer because the color is that good. Any product that looks natural and saves me time like this one, is a big yes!

    Have you tried it yet?
