It’s not a secret that gathering Summer beauty products can be a tricky thing, isn’t it? Whether you’re preparing your bags for vacation or just need to have certain things on rotation during summertime, one thing is for sure; this task seems easy yet it can be quite stressful.
I’ve found myself feeling frustrated many times wondering what I should have with me versus what I’m actually using and really needing in the hot days.
That’s why I’ve created this list with the 7 most important beauty products you need when you have a busy Summer ahead of you, vacation or not. After narrowing down many useless lists, these are the products I’m actually using & enjoying.
They make me feel prepped and ready to seize the day, without overwhelming me. Moisturized skin, practical hair tools and multitasking makeup products to help me achieve a makeup look in no time. Now we’re talking!
Let’s see all of them.

Face Mist
I don’t know about you, but a Summer beauty collection without a face mist can’t be considered as one.
I keep mine in the fridge to be even more refreshing when I spitz it all over my face. I use it not only to prep my skin before applying my skincare products in the morning, but also as a mid-day wake-me-up. A delight when it’s too hot outside and a game changer when I bring it with me to the beach.
If you live in a hot country then you know how satisfying is that, right?
Face And Body Moisturizer
There is nothing I hate more than dry or flaky skin especially during Summer where you have your whole skin exposed while wearing bikinis, shorts, skirts or dresses.
No, thank you. When my face and body are moisturized, my energy is different as weird as this sounds. Maybe it’s the feeling that you’ve done something good for yourself or the feeling of readiness to get out of the door. I don’t know.
Unlike my face that I moisturize thoroughly in the morning, I don’t have the same time to moisturize my body during the day. I always make sure to have a simple body cream or body butter on my nightstand and use it before going to bed.
The next morning I have baby soft skin; a must when you’re sweating all day or standing under the hot sun.
Sun Protection
I know my future self will thank me for wearing SPF non stop , so I make sure I don’t leave the house without wearing it on my face and body parts that are exposed.
Sometimes I have less than 5-10 minutes to get out of the house -hello new moms- and my body SPF usually is the last thing on my mind. So I keep an easy mist body SPF in the car. That’s the only way to do it nowadays but I can’t complain; the important part is that I’m doing it, right?
Summer in Greece doesn’t play games and I’ve burnt myself too many times during my 20s. Lesson definitely learnt in my 30s. Wear your SPF girls.
Hair Conditioner
Having long hair is great until June comes and you splash them nearly everyday with salted sea water and sun exposure.
When it’s Winter I use my favorite hair mask ever the Olaplex no8 and my hair is healthy and hydrated. In the Summer though having long hair is a pain in the a** -sorry but I cannot say it more politely. Am I wrong here?- to say the least.
I’m always hesitating a deep dive into the sea which is my favorite thing to do when the whole world is boiling around me and wondering how I will manage my hair when I get back home.
Most of the times I choose to dive, so I need something different in terms of moisturizing my hair; something quicker than a mask yet effective. A quick conditioner while taking a shower is my answer. And my favorite choice right now is the Perfect Repair Conditioner from NatureLab TOKYO.
It helps maintain my fine hair and make them strong against daily washing. I can’t imagine Summer beauty products without having a great conditioner with you. It’ll save you time from styling and keep your locks happy.
Hair Clips
If you don’t have already, now is the best time to get yourself some super chic hair clips.
They can make your hair look beautiful in a quick half-up-half-down in no time and add to your overall style. The key here is to find something that suits you.
I prefer hair clips for Summer because they are easier and help me look presentable quickly even when I’m at the beach running around like crazy behind a toddler. Depending on the style, I can make them work day or night.
And the best part? they don’t pull my hair like regular hair ties and I can easily skip styling as my hair they look good without having to use my straightener. Bingo! A Summer must have for sure.
Gradual Self Tanner
Ok now I know I don’t have much time for me, but I’m always trying to find little gestures of self love.
Being super fair isn’t and never was a problem for me, but a little tan in the Summer is always welcomed, right? It makes me feel better in a magical way. A few years back I would sit literally for an hour trying to perfect my tanner in the mirror in case I’ve missed any body part.
Now? I’ve found the ultimate product that is quick, mess free and can just replace my body moisturizer. I swear by the Tan-Luxe The Gradual Illuminating Tanning Lotion. It really is the best. You just take a shower, let your skin dry and apply the lotion. After 2 hours you have a caramel skin tint that looks completely natural.
The best part is that it is quite difficult to mess the process up, as the application is exactly like a regular body lotion. And if you want something deeper, you can reapply the next day or everyday until your desired result.
I make sure I have a bottle with me during the whole Summer.

Multitasking Makeup Products
Last but not least are makeup products I can multitask with. I’ve written a post about their versatility as you can achieve amazing looks super quickly.
Even when you are rushing to get somewhere, a multitasking product can be a savior. Eyes, lips and cheeks sorted with just one product. Lovely!
Can it be Summer without a product like that? I think no. It saves you time and gives you the opportunity to have fun, let loose and look amazing. Amen.
Now I’m all ears to YOUR recommendations. Anything I’m missing here? Let me know in the comments or on Insta here @tzinamak_
