Have you ever thought of losing ALL your makeup? Quite scary if you love makeup, right?
So this got me thinking a lot. What are the basic makeup products that I can’t live without? What I consider essential for my makeup bag and what not? Which are the highest performers that work every time?
I’m narrowing down every category in my collection and picking only the best of the best!
These are all the items I would run to buy again and again! If you need some major inspo or really really good makeup products for everything keep reading.
Let’s go!
Basic Makeup Products I’d Buy Again & Again
Base Makeup Products
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ Unifiant in Light
If you follow me for a while you’ll definitely know about my holy grail base.
The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Unifiant in Light is my go-to tinted moisturizer for everyday and it saves my skin from blemishes, redness and clogged pores.
If you have acne prone or oily skin you’ll love it. I use it for nearly 6 years and even back when I had acne. It always calms down my skin and minimizes spots.
It’s lightweight, looks natural -almost undetectable on the skin- and blends in easily with fingers or a beauty blender.
I will always choose this over any other tinted moisturizer as it balances out my skin perfectly due to the Niacinamide & Salicylic Acid in its formula.
Big love!
Chanel Water-Fresh Tint in Medium Light
This Water-Fresh tint from Chanel is a recent purchase but quickly became something necessary in my makeup bag.
It’s only for good skin days for sure, as it has extremely light coverage but still manages to make a difference for everyday.
I would describe it as a “healthy glow” layer to the skin and it’s amazing for all these days that you have zero time but still want to look polished.
I got it in a shade darker than my actual skin color and it just adds something more glowy, fresh and tanner to the skin.
It applies quickly with your fingers and instantly livens up your whole face. Never though I would like it but here we are!
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla Light 2
I always go back to this gem when I want something that performs 100% anytime anywhere.
The Radiant Creamy Concealer isn’t famous for no reason. It covers, it’s creamy but not slimy, it doesn’t separate and blends extremely quick.
What’s not to love about it?
Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Vanilla Light 2
If you have spots and blemishes you need this.
It’s matte, long lasting and easy to work with. I add 1-2 layers on top of my spots and it covers them effectively for a whole day.
I’m never without it.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur
The “younger sister” of the original translucent loose setting powder from Laura Mercier as I like to call it, this Ultra-Blur one is great for everyday.
It makes your skin matte but in a natural way, can be reapplied without looking cakey and it’s long lasting too.
I love this for my oily skin and I’d recommend it to anyone with oily or normal skin type. If you have acne and need something even more powerful go the original way.
The Rodial Glass Powder is for you if you love a powder that creates the “flawless” look on your face.
It’s lightweight, looks natural and minimizes the look of pores in the best way possible.
I got the mini size to try it and now I’m obsessed. The best part is that it actually makes your skin matte and lasts. I’ve never came across a “pore-less” powder that lasts.
I’m going for the big size for sure!
Cheek Makeup Products
If you’re looking for a liquid contour or a bomb liquid bronzer, this is it.
It makes you look tan, healthy and defined. It’s not orange, too warm or too cool it’s just the perfect bronze-y color.
I’m using it alone as a bronzer, mixed in with my tinted moisturizer for a “back from the beach” glow or as a contour product. You can do anything.
The runny, thin consistency makes it perfect for blending quickly and it looks exactly like skin. A can’t go wrong product that you can actually apply alone without any blush or highlighter when you’re in a rush. 10/10
Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick in Biscuit
Now let’s talk luxury. This Face Trace contour stick is exactly like that.
The product itself, the packaging and the experience. Perfection!
It’s not too creamy but not too stiff either. It has the ultimate color for contouring the face that isn’t muddy or grey and defines cheekbones, nose and forehead in the best way.
I also love it as a fast eyeshadow in the morning.
It’s weird that I like this blush while having an oily skin but never say never, right?
The Dew Blush from Saie is super easy & quick to apply and has the most dewy, creamy formula ever.
Don’t be scared with the dewiness, as it lasts all day. The shade Peachy is my ultimate everyday shade that brightens the face, adds juiciness to the skin and goes with everything.
Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight in Enlighten
Thin, runny and never ending; the highlighter from Rare Beauty has it all.
It looks dewy and not glittery and you can easily wear it as a light glow in the morning and as a glow goddess for drinks and date nights.
The choice is yours.
The only thing I wish for is that they will come up with a few more shades as I would love a champagne-y shade that suits fair skin for the days that I want something different from the moon-like shade Enlighten.

Brow Makeup Products
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Taupe
A brow pencil I will buy again and again.
Firm, quick and long lasting.
Nothing I love more for my brows. The wider tip makes the whole boring process of brows effortless.
Nothing compares to this on my eyes. Plus it has a great brush on the other side of the tip that is very helpful.
Patrick Ta Major Brow Lamination Gel
I love the sleek packaging, the handy brush and how easy it is to use.
It holds the brows up for the whole day but it never turns crunchy or hard.
A tip to have in mind here is that it becomes better with time. It needs to be a little dried up to work.
I love it as much as the Brow Freeze Wax from Anastasia but I find it a bit more quick and great for traveling too.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Wax
This brow freeze wax from Anastasia is the epitome of “clean girl brows” and I’m in for it.
Polished up brows that look tidy are my go-to and this wax helps me achieve it easily.
The only “negative” is that you need a spare brow brush and it’s a bit tricky until you find how much product is needed for your brows. After 1-2 applications you’ll see exactly how much you need.
And once you find it it’s dreamy!
Eye Makeup Products
Nars High Pigment Longwear Eyeliner in Via Veneto
It’s super black, perfect for tight-lining, not too soft nor too hard and lasts.
What else do you need from a pencil?
Kevyn Aucoin The Eyelash Curler
If you have eyelashes that look down get it! Simple as that.
This is the best of the best eyelash curlers that I will continue to purchase till I stop wearing makeup -never.
Find more details here.
L’Oréal Paris Paradise Waterproof Mascara
The ultimate mascara for eyelashes that look down period.
It creates both volume and length.
A tip to remember is to remove some of the product from the brush when it’s freshly new.
And it gets better over time. I’m never ever without it!
These eye wands from Vieve are heaven on earth!
Bold color that lasts all day and so so easy to use. They’re creamy when you blend them in and never leave your eyelids once they set.
The color range is amazing and I specifically love the shade Espresso. So chic and perfect as an eyeliner. It’s not as harsh as black but it’s like dark chocolate goodness. Plus it lasts all day on my oily eyelids.
Well done Vieve!
The most underrated eyeshadow palette ever yet SO good.
I’ll never be without it. Small, neutral, chic, easy to blend shadows that go with everything and make your life easier. Amen!
I’m using it everyday without fail from work to drinks and everything in between. Pure magic.
Armani Beauty Eye Tint in Camel
Looking for the ultimate wash of color for your eyelids?
You’ve just found it. The most beautiful formula existing.
It’s thin, blendable and never creases on my oily eyelids. The pointy sponge applicator makes the process super quick and has the perfect amount of product every time.
Now I’m thinking about my next shades. So good.
Lip Makeup Products
Makeup For Ever Artist Color Pencil in Endless Cacao
In case you are not sick of me talking about this multitasking pencil from Makeup For Ever keep reading!
This is the pencil of all pencils and especially the shade Endless Cacao. You can use it for brows, lips and eyes, yes, YES!
I wear it on my lips and let me tell you it turns anything into their “sexier” version. Nude lipsticks, pinks, peaches and even reds. It makes the lips look fuller and creates a shadow that defines the lips like no other.
Keep an eye because there is a reason it’s always sold out at Sephora.
Lisa Eldridge Velvet Fawn Lipstick
The lipstick of all lipsticks!
Matte bold color of dreams that stays all day. The shade Velvet Fawn is my ultimate mistake-free lipstick that never fails me. Not too brown, too nude, too warm or too cool.
I’m wearing it lightly for everyday and full on for more formal occasions.
In the middle perfection. If you are in between cool and warm undertones it will suit you 100%.
RÓEN Beauty Kiss My Liquid Lip Balms
The best liquid lip balm out there.
Super unique velvety formula that glides on, hydrates and makes your lips look fuller.
My big loves are the shade Remi which is a peachy-pink dream that stays on for a long time and the shimmery one called Cosmo.
Cosmo is a transparent shade that doesn’t “show” any of the sparkly particles when it’s on yet gives the lips an amazing juicy, luxury look instantly.
They have a slight minty scent that goes away after a few seconds and the packaging is awesome. The pointy applicator sponge has the exact amount of product that you need and never gets messy.
I guess I’ll never be without them.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk
My other lipstick love is the Matte Revolution Lipstick line from the queen Charlotte Tilbury.
A formula that excites me everyday even after all these years of wearing them. They are unlike any other “matte” formula. Non drying, hydrating yet long lasting. You can wear them like a veil or full on.
The best part? They make your lips look bigger in the most magical way and they smell like vanilla cookies.
One of my holy grails is definitely the shade Pillow Talk; a feminine pink brown without the “girly” part. I always wear it with my Endless Cacao pencil for a more sultry look.
